Welsh County Council
Standardising 59 frontline vehicles across multiple operational teams within a zero-tolerance three-month timeframe.

The Challenge:
-
Multiple operational teams with different workflows, needing a single, standardised vehicle conversion.
-
Needing a partner that could manage the whole process.
-
3-month zero tolerance to deliver 59 field ready vans to meet a contract roll-out.
-
Meet health & safety requirements for the van users.
-
Security for company assets such as power tools.
Our Solution:
-
Conducted an on-site discovery session with van users to understand differing workflows and confirm critical requirements.
-
Delivered a single, standardised conversion, designed to accommodate multiple workflows.
-
Installed bi-lingual Chapter 8 compliant markings, alongside SafeStow ladder racks for safe ladder storage to meet health & safety needs.
-
Installed integrated lock-boxes for tool storage and secure load-area locking to increase security.
-
Coordinated logistics by receiving vehicles directly from the port and arranging delivery of completed vehicles straight to the council depot.
The Result:
-
A consistent, fleet-wide standard that removed variation and reduced operational complexity.
-
A smooth, managed rollout that met the three-month delivery deadline.
-
A trusted delivery framework, setting the foundation for Phase 2 rollout the following year.
