The Challenge:
After several years without a full review, the customer wanted to reset their van setup and build a more effective, standardised solution through a single partner ensuring that key stakeholders were involved in the review process.
Their existing vehicles had gradually evolved, but key inefficiencies were identified in the Discovery call.
-
No beacon due to worry it would be too high for carparks
-
No dedicated storage for long lengths
-
Limited and inconsistent strapping points for ladders and specific box sizes
-
No safe or practical storage for jerry cans
-
Load space becoming cluttered and underutilised
-
No integrated solution for charging power tools
-
Some existing racking still in good condition and worth reusing
Our Solution:
-
Full-length top shelving designed to accommodate long lengths, lined with rubber to minimise rattling and protect materials in transit.
-
End-to-end support including locks, livery, racking, electrical setup, and vehicle transport.
-
Flexible storage system using a combination of lidded storage bins and carry cases for easy transport onto site.
-
Integrated power solution with inverter and double socket for charging tools, complete with battery protection to prevent vehicle drain.
-
Low-profile beacons suitable for London height restrictions, with in-cab switching for easy operation.
-
Improved visibility with PIR interior lighting for safer and more efficient working inside the van.
-
Swap-out of existing racking with suitable elements retained, new components prepared in advance, on-site transfer and refit while engineers waited, and old vehicles collected at the customer’s convenience to minimise downtime.
