Creating a bespoke mobile workshop for service engineers in the heavy plant industry.

The Challenge:
The company had traditionally outsourced repair and maintenance work, so bringing the operation in-house was a new step. They needed support creating a fully functional mobile workshop that enabled engineers to attend multiple sites carrying all the tools, equipment, and power needed to resolve issues efficiently on-site.

Engineers needed the ability to charge power tools and comfortably work from a laptop within the cab & load area.

Maximise tool & storage space in the van while retaining adequate space to work inside.

The vehicle needed to be capable of operating across a mix of roadside, construction, and off-road plant environments.

Engineers required a set-up that allowed them to work effectively from the van in all weather conditions, including overnight working when required.
Our Solution:

Full onboard electrical system with inverter and leisure battery set-up to provide reliable power for charging tools and equipment throughout the day.

Double sockets fitted in cab & load area for convenient laptop and power tool charging.

Additional security locks fitted to protect valuable tools, equipment, and stock.

Bespoke nearside and offside racking with integrated drawer stack at the bulkhead to maximise storage and improve organisation.

Dedicated workbench installed with vice positioning positioned to suit the engineer’s workflow.

Front grill strobes and roof lightbar switched in cab to enable it to be switched on when entering site.

Chapter-8 livery applied to improve compliance and visibility.

Diesel heater system ducted into both the cab and load area for comfortable winter and overnight working conditions.

Full vehicle livery design and installation completed for a professional and consistent fleet appearance.
